Toyland

We are still like children fighting for toys

Fighting for things that is not ours

The red toy car looks shinier on the other kid’s hand

The brown teddy bear looks cuter than the one we cuddled.

We wanted what is not ours.

If we can’t take it away, we cry for it.

Asking for sympathy, asking for some attention.

But all in all, demanding the same toys.

But we are not children anymore.

And war is a bloody game we played to have the things that is not ours.

And yes, the grass sometimes looks greener on the other side.

But it is not our side, not our land, not our possession, not our right to take.

But yet, we could still learn from children.

When we see that sometimes they shared their toys,

Shared for the food and water

Without knowing each other better, they played and laughed together.

For we should realized and remember,

That nothing on this earth is really ours,

Not the sky, not the sea, not the land.

And if we all could share the toys that God has given,

For this I am certain, we shall all be forgiven.
